Brain tissue of three wild geese species of the genus Anser: A. fabalis, A. albifrons, and A. anser was studied with respect to: size of the brain and its parts; concentration of iron, zinc, copper, manganese and lead; relationship between brain size and metal concentration in the brain tissue. The birds were obtained from hunters operating in the vicinity of the Slonsk Reserve located in the Warta-Odra wetlands. A total of 265 wild and 6 domestic geese individuals were examined
