The heritabilities and genetic correlations of volume (dbh and height) E. grandis are compared over three sites using a South African sub-line of 59 families. The discussion highlights the role of magnitude of the heritability and heritability standard error estimates on the standard error of the genetic correlation. Sites which display higher heritability estimates with relatively low standard error estimates have potential to display more stable genetic correlation estimates
