An experiment was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of kimberlite in combination with chemical fertilizers and phosphate-solubilizing bacteria on yield, yield-related characters and economics in lentil (Lens culinaris Medik.) in 1992/93 and 1993/94. Kimberlite at 2 tonnes/ha with phosphate-solubilizing bacteria at 5 g/kg seed and 50 of the recommended dose of NPK fertilizer resulted in the highest number of plants, plant height, branches plant, pods/plant, dry weight, seeds/plant, seed weight, grain and straw yield and economic returns, followed by kimberlite at 2 tonnes/ha plus the recommended dose of NPK
