Private forest owners are the most significant consumer group of fuel wood. Especially in the countryside they will largely depend on this form of energy also in the future. The article analyses some important social, tehnical/tehnological, economic, quantitative and qualitative indices of the present fuel wood use with private forest owners. It also gives some hints as to its use in the future
