[From the history of the Grey Ukrainian cattle]

The data are given on Grey Ukrainian cattle the number of heads of which in Ukraine has dramatically decreased in recent years (in 1990 - 6 000 thousands heads, 1939 - 1 016, 1960 - 193 and in 1995 - 0,68 thousands heads). Its long history, exterior, productive and working qualities are noted. The problem is raised that the breed should be recreated
