Grain production in Ukraine is a priority branch based on growing of three main crops: winter wheat (48-63 %), spring barley and maize. The place of Ukraine at the world grain market is considered. In 1996 Ukraine exported 1544 thousand t of grain. Export to the CIS countries prevailed - 732 thousand t. Nowadays 43 countries buy the Ukrainian grain. At present Ukraine can take a task to deliver to the world grain market about 8-10 mln. t of grain.
