[Selected characteristics in red clover (Trifolium pratense) and white clover (Trifolium repens) varieties]

In 18 diploid varieties and advanced lines of red clover (Trifolium pratense) and 18 varieties and advanced lines od white clover (Trifolium repens) the following traits were assessed by using methods of mathematical statistics: stand height before the 1st cutting and before the 2nd cutting of the first cutting year, the start of blooming in the first cutting year and herbage yields. Statistically significant differences between varieties were found. Varieties significantly different from the arithmetic means of variety collections and the control are given.
