This report covers the period September 1st, 1989 to August 31st, 1990. It seeks to be comprehensive in its coverage of CARDI's work in Belize, without being exhaustive. It is intended more for the general reader than for the technical specialist. Activities described fall under four main areas: Oilseeds; Legumes; Seed production; Livestock and Technical Assistance and Training. The report covers work on soybean and sesame production, testing and postharvest handling of peanut and the selection of pigeon pea varieties for splitting. It also examines the production of feed from whole fat roasted soybean and forage as a source of protein for pigs. At the end of each commodity report, readers are also referred to work that CARDI is conducting in other countries.
