Accumulation of Cs-137 in Biale Filipowskie Lake

Radiocaesium concentrations were determined in the sediments, vegetation and water of the Biale Filipowskie Lake (Poland), using a gamma spectrometry. The mean specific activity of Cs-137 in the sediment surface layer was 20.2 Bq/kg dry matter. Differences were found in radiocaesium deposition depending on the vegetation area: 0.6, 1.5, 2.4 and 0.8 kBq/m(2) in the supralittoral, helophytes, macrophytes and profundal (respectively)
