Spatial information system on Polish agricultural resources being developed since 1994 covers a number of elements describing agricultural production space, e.g the soil resources, soil contamination, model of agri-climate, water erosion and soil degradation, locations of segetal weeds, model for crop yield prediction. For now, the system provides the presentation of required information on resources of production space in form of digital maps (air temperature, precipitation, soil pollution) and enables the spatial analyses integrating the components of agricultural production space to obtain generalized information, e.g. which areas are optimal for growing given crops according to various criteria
