Effect of peripheral speed of the fingers stripping pods on the quality of French bean harvest with a single-row harvester was investigated. The peripheral speed of the first drum fingers affected to great extent the percentage of damaged and connected together pods, whereas the speed of second drum fingers influenced the quantitative losses of pods and the content of organic impurities in harvested crop. It was also found that while stripping the pods with tested harvester the peripheral speed of the second drum fingers at their ends should not exceed 6 m/s, whereas that speed of the first drum fingers should be approximately twice less
