The manner of tillage exerted a significant influence on the properties of soil and yielding of plants. Simplification of tillage, consisting in elimination of ploughing and application of direct sowing, was bringing about a decrease in moisture content in the 0-30 cm soil layer and at the same time an increase in its density and compaction. The sum of plant yields in crop rotation in the deepened and typical systems was approximately similar, but it got evidently decreased along with increasing degree of simplification of cultivation consisting in direct sowing
