English. After a short synthesis about the history of urban green spaces, the paper explains in detail the real perspectives of the green development in Turin. That will drive the town to one of the highest levels in quality and quantity of green spaces in Italy, such as to be comparable with man other European realities. Programs of development will point on Turin natural resources: the four rivers and the ill, in order to realize the green ring that, thought by Amedeo by Castellamonte in 1672, will find a concrete feasibility involvin local energies in a system of urban and metropolitan green spaces
