Comparison of regression and logarithmic method of estimating relationship between crop yield of winter triticale and its structural components

Two methods of estimating the inflence of structural components on the crop yield of triticale - per surface unit and per ear were compared. To achive that purpose, the multiple regression model was used doing or not the logarithmic transformation of the variables. As a results of calculations it was concluded that grain yield per square unit was best described with the equation in which the number of ears per square unit, and the number of grains per ear was best described with the equation, in which number of grains per ear was taken into account, without logarithmic transformation
