Occurrence of toxin-producing fungi in soil environments of mountain grassy ecosystems

A significant decrease in the number of fungal isolates and fungi species of Micromycetes was observed under the influence of mineral fertilization with N120-360 kg/ha/year as well as under the fertilization with N120-360 and P80K60 kg/ha/year in soils of mountain grassy ecosystems represented by Arrhenatheretum eliatoris and Gladiolo-Agrostidetum communities after 5 years of experiment. The isolated toxin - producing fungi were examined for the abilities to produce phytotoxins. The metabolites of the fungi inhibited germination energy of green pea seeds. The strongest inhibitory effect (39-92 percent) was found in the metabolites of Alternaria alternata, Aspergillus versicolor, A. terreus, Fusarium sporotrichioides, Penicillium regulosum, P. tardum and Trichoderma viride. The weakest effect on the energy value and seed germination ability (20-36 percent) was demonstrated by Alternaria alternata, Cladosporium herbarum, Penicillium citrinum
