Electric brake system as a new technological option in European agricultural transport

The paper discusses new in Europe electric brake system as a modern, technological much safer option, especially for small trailers, semi-trailers (gooseneck trailers) and agricultural tractors. The authors present the new recommendations of EU Regulation No 13, Annex 14 and underline the needed changes in the electric brake systems from the USA market. Inplementation of the electric brake system will allow to promote new technological transport option (semitrailers) in agricultural branch. It also should have positive effect on reduction manufacturing costs, on work safety conditions and on ecology. In near future the electric brake system should replace the pneumatic and hydraulic systems in agricultural trailers and tractors as well as surge brakes in small car trailers
