Cadmium content in soils and plants along Rzeszow exit highways

Soil samples and the wheat and potato plants cultivated along two highways (5, 50, 100 m away from the road) were analysed for cadmium content. The distance from the road affected Cd content either, in soil and examined crops. Cadmium contents exceeded allowable for consumption limits in wheat grain and potato tubers grown within the distance up to 50 m from the highways
