Application of whole crop of Sylibum marianum L., Gaertn. green fodder in cattle feeding

The object of experiment was Sylibum marianum green fodder. The change of chemical composition in different vegetation period, volountary intake of matter, digestibility and nutritive value of green fodder were determined in the experiment. The results showed that organic matter intake was 32.92 g/kg metabolic weight and organic matter digestibility was 67.53 percent. The nutritive value of green fodder in 1 kg of dry matter was 5.36 MJ NEL; 0.79 UFL and 0.72 UFV. Protein value (PDIN, PDIE) was 57.90 g and 76.52 g in dry matter
