Milk outflows from a cow teat at different vacuum levels

The influence of different vacuum levels on milk outflow from the teats was investigated on a group of 5 cows in a cow-barn under production conditions. Two Alfa-Laval milking machines (a standard HCC and a novel - Harmony) were used in experiment, operating at vacuum pressures of 50, 46 and 42 kPa. The results concerning cows stimulation to milking and the course of milking process were evaluated. Milk outflows from the teats for particular cycles of teat-cup operation were analysed too
