Performance of a self-propelled cleaner-loader tested on sugar beet harvested in dry and wet soil

The development of restricted standards concerning the wastes of industrial processing of agricultural products contributed to the diffusion of cleaning-loading machines in sugar beet harvesting, to reduce the dirt tares of the heaps. The aim of this work was the evaluation of performance of a self-propelled cleaner-loader tested on sugar beet heaps harvested in soils with different water content (9.8% and 28.6% relative humidity). In dry soil a high rate of work (215 t/h) and a cleaning action directed to the fine soil and the leaves were observed. In the wet soil the rate of work considerably decreased (86 t/h), but the cleaning performance of the equipment concerned not only the fine soils and the leaves but also the clods and the other dirty tares

L'adozione di normative sempre piu' restrittive in tema di smaltimento dei residui dei processi delle lavorazioni agro-industriali ha contribuito alla diffusione di macchine pulisci-caricatrici. In questa ricerca e' stata valutata l'operativita' di una pulisci-caricatrice semovente impiegata su cumuli di bietole raccolte in terreno a diverso grado di umidita' (9.8% e 28.6% di umidita' sul tal quale). In condizioni di terreno secco e' stata rilevata una elevata capacita' operativa (215 t/h) e un'azione pulente, prevalentemente indirizzata alla terra fine e alle foglie. In condizioni di terreno bagnato la capacita' operativa si e' notevolmente ridotta (86 t/h), mentre la capacita' pulente ha riguardato la terra fine, le zolle, le foglie e le altre impurita'
