English. The aim to reduce post-weaning stress is actually more critical due to earlier piglets weaning. Acquired knowledge about the changing pattern in digestive system of the piglet during the first weeks of age has developed special diets and management schemes to overcome nutritional problems associated with early weaning. That is not enough without a careful management of feeding. From this point of view, feeding a supplemental milk replace seems to be effective. This article describes different ways of milk administration (suckling and/or postweaning phase). Results of these experiments indicate that feeding milk replacer in the post-weaning may help the piglets to overcome the post-weaning growth lag
Show more [+] Less [-]Italian. L'obiettivo di ridurre lo stress post-svezzamento e' attualmente reso piu' critico dalla tendenza a svezzare i suinetti il piu' precocemente possibile. Le conoscenze acquisite riguardo all'evoluzione digestiva del suinetto nelle prime settimane di vita hanno consentito lo sviluppo di diete che permettono un utilizzo piu' efficiente dei principi nutritivi. Tutto cio' non e' sufficiente se, nel contempo, non viene attuata una corretta gestione dell'alimentazione. Da questo punto di vista particolare interesse riveste la possibilita' di integrare la dieta dei suinetti in svezzamento con latte ricostituito. Nel presente lavoro vengono descritte diverse possibilita' di distribuzione del latte (sottoscrofa e/o post-svezzamento), evidenziandone i benefici nutrizionali e dietetici
