State and perspectives of fruit and vegetable processing sector in Poland

The financial situation of companies operating in the fruit and vegetable processing sub-sector in Poland varies. A large number of enterprises face problems which result from the difficulties in adapting to free market conditions. The Polish fruit and vegetable processing sub-sector is currently characterized by a very high level of competitiveness. The domestic market in the case of processed fruits and vegetables is very encouraging for enterprises. The key to success is the specialization and quality improvement. Integration with the EU is another factor adding to the importance of improving the standards of production and the necessity of concordance with EU requirements
