English. Chemical seed dressing trials were carried out with two durum wheat cultivars grown in two different cereal growing areas of Apulia region (Southern Italy), in 1996 and 1997. The fungicide guazatine and the mixture guazatine-triticonazole were very effective. They significantly reduced browning of leaf sheaths and stems, caused by foot rot agents, and allowed an increase of yield in comparison with the untreated check

Italian. Prove di concia sono state condotte, durante il 1996 e il 1997, su due cultivar di frumento duro allevate in due aree cerealicole della Puglia. Le tesi trattate con guazatina e guazatina piu' triticonazolo hanno mostrato una significativa riduzione degli imbrunimenti delle guaine e dei culmi, causati dagli agenti del mal del piede, ed un incremento della produzione in granella
