Indirect determination of needle areas in Scots pine forests
2001
Ende, H.P.
The needle area index (LAI) of five Scots pine stands was measured using a LI-COR LAI-2000 two-sensor system in remote mode. The values could be reproduced with very low variability even under rapidly changing background light conditions. The average one-sided LAI values measured under the five stands ranged between 2,66 and 2,93 and increased with stand density.
