Observations on one apricot Taphrina occurrence in Campania region (Italy) [Prunus armeniaca L.]

English. A severe epidemic disease of apricot is reported for the first time in Italy. The causal agent was classified as Taphrina deformans on the basis of the symptoms observed and of the morpho-biometric parameters. The disease has been reported several times in Eastern Europe, Argentina, China, Japan, India and Australia, but not in Western Europe
