This article describes the situation of the forestry sector within the territories of the Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina before the recent conflict, providing quite a complete picture of the different aspects. Starting by describing the geography of the Country, the AA give an overview on the major silviculture techniques and wood-working technologies, which have been used in BH until 1991. Some data concerning the main forest species, types and increments are available as well

Gli AA descrivono la situazione del settore forestale nell'ambito dei territori della repubblica di Bosnia-Herzegovina, cosi' come si presentava prima dello scoppio del recente conflitto, cercando di fornire un quadro il piu' completo possibile. Iniziando con un inquadramento geografico, la descrizione prosegue prendendo in considerazione i vari aspetti della realta' forestale, dalle principali tecniche selvicolturali utilizzate alle caratteristiche della politica forestale in vigore prima del 1991
