The paper deals with two concepts of yield map utilization to determine fertilizer rates: 1. Under the conditions of high phosphorus and potassium content in the soil, fertilizers should cover the amount of nutrients that has been uptaken by the forecrop. In that case formation of maps of variable fertilizer rates is based on values read from the yield map that are multipled by nutrient removal per yield unit. 2.
