The present paper presents current computer application in agricultural companies. The managers who use computers on regular basis are convinced about a necessity to introduce computer technique to practice. The managers surveyed stressed that to manage effectively, one needs a fast data access first of all in accounting which requires an adequately designed information system. The survey showed that farms recognise the applicability of computer assistance in their work, especially in efficient management
