The paper presents the results of ten-year research conducted by the department of Vegetable Crops of the Cracow Agricultural University. The studies covered the effect of sweet pepper plant pruning in greenhouse on the conditions of PAR irradiation and hence the plant profile and photosynthetic leaf productivity. Similary, there was defined a relationship between the pruning and plant vegetative growth, pepper yield and fruit quality
