Influence of some factors on the health state of udders in cows bred in indywidual farms of Zamosc voivodeship

The health of udders in 292 cows maintained in 32 indyvidual farms was analysed. From 1164 quarters of foremilk estimated by CMT, 841 were negtive, 216 doubtful, 97 positive and 10 were highly positive. Inflemmations of milk galnds were found in old cows more frequently than in heifer cows and second lactation rank. Defects of udder conformation (occurrence of unbalaced udders and extra teats mainly), summer season and final period were favourable agents of mastitis
