Paper presents the results of studies on particle size distribution in ground grain of wheat, rye and barley. The grain was disintegrated in a laboratory hammer mill and particle size distribution was determined by laser diffraction method. The results were evaluated as affected by the cereal species, hardness of wheat grain and the moisture content of ground grain ranging from 10 to 18% (rye, barley)
