The paper makes an attempt to determining the costs of generating 1 GJ energy from cut-outs of bushy willows grown on arable land. The costs of generating 1 GJ heat from bushy willow cut-outs burned in an Automated Waste Incineration Unit of nominal capacity 500 kW, assuming that the facility works 330 days a year, amounted 16.32 PLN. In the case of working period shortened to 231 days a year, the cost was 19.47 PLN
