The investigation have been carried out in the 1998-99 years on 200 Zelaznienska ewes, which were milked using 2 methods. In group I from 35th up to 100th day of lactation the half of daily milk production was milked twice a day. In group II the lambs were weaned at 56th day and ewes milked twice a day. The results showed the higher fat content and lower lactose content in milk in group II during the first 100 days of lactation. The length of lactation of Zelaznienska sheep was short. There was not statistical difference between groups in milk production during lactation period, in spite of higher daily milk yield in group II. The experiment require farther study to confirm obtained results
