Field experiments were conducted in 1995-97 in 13-14 year of winter rape monoculture. The aim of the study was to examine the influence of different methods of post-harvest soil tillage against the background of varying pre-sowing tillage on growth and yielding of spring rape. It was found that pre-sowing ploughing for winter rape to a depth 20 cm compared to ploughing to 30 cm, increased the number and height of plants, the number and length of siliques, seed and fat yield of spring rape. Modification of post harvest tillage, reduced seed yield of spring rape. Pre-sowing ploughing for winter rape to a depth of 20 cm, without post-harvest tillage but with pre-sowing herbicide was the most profitable tillage treatment for spring rape
