The development of presses in wood industry followed the purpose of pressing and the type of used glue. The first presses were made on levering or spindle system, the last presses have total computer control. The development of a new press contains press forming, constructions and calculations of hydraulic and electric components, framework designing and determination of heating fluid. The basic technical data, like the pressing quadrature, the maximal pressure, the storey number, the plates heating and paralleling, the moving and the control system have to be defined before construction begins. The aim of this project was to make laboratory press for schooling purpose, with exactly controlled pressure and temperature. The operation of the machine must be easy and safe.
