In the article given are the main advantages of simplified technology of sugar beet growing. Presented are also the characterics of various designs of distributing units of spacing drills used in no-tillage sugar beet growing. The main interest of the investigations however has been directed especially on the designs of well-known western companies. On the basis of so far obtained results of the investigations, carried out by domestic and foreign research institutions, these designs have been assessed as to their sutability to such simplified technology of sugar beet growing
