Chararcteristics of agrotourist farms in the Warmia and Mazury province

The results obtained show that the vast majority of agrotourist farms are located in areas characterized by tourist and scenic attraction. Most of the farm owners examined have been conducting their business for 2-5 years. The average area of a house hired to tourists is over 180 square m. Apart from hiring the rooms, farm owners provide their guests with a variety of extra services, increasing the attractiveness of their offer. The majority of the respondents plan to make more investments related to agrotourism. These investments are to be financed with own resources or bank loans. In spite of that almost 70 percent of agrotourist farm owners estimate their activity as not profitable enough
