Analysis of flow resistance variation in rivers with sediment movement

The authors present the results of hydraulic analysis of flow conditions in regulated rivers on the example of Middle Odra (Poland). This analysis shows the different flow resistance of the river bed at low stages without sediment transport. The increase of flow resistance due to sediment transport is estimated on the basis of the Yalin's method, adapted by CEMAGREF for alluvial rivers, where notable bed forms are observed
