Cultivation of red clover (meadow) for seeds in three year performance
2002
Wilczek, M. | Cwintal, M. (Agricultural Academy, Lublin (Poland). Chair of Detailed Plant Cultivation)
The field investigations included two experiments set in 1997 on loess, good wheat soil. In both experiments (of randomized blocks in four replications), the same rates of seeding per square m were applied: from 250 to 1250 grains. The yield of red clover seeds was mostly shaped by weather conditions during flowering and plant maturation. Amounts of seeds sown did not significantly affect the red clover yield. The mean 3-year yields in Experiment 1 were significantly higher than in Experiment 2
