Agroecological aspects of oxidation modelling in arable soils

The research programme in 1985-95 focused on redox processes and the quantification of arable soils resistance to reduction, were carried out in Poland. In particular the impact of oxidation on agroecological degradation of soils was studied. This paper presents the significance of redox processes for modelling growth of crop plants as well as the general concept of redox potential as a measure for "oxygen state" of soils. Morever, the resistance of arable soils to reduction was characterized within this scope
