Lateral shoot formation in the nursery was achieved by using Paturyl (benzyl-adenin at 10%) at different concentrations and timing of application in relation to the natural aptitude of grafted varieties. Easy feathering varieties got the maximum results at low doses with several applications, recalcitrant varieties reached positive results at high dose single treatments. For all varieties the foliar spray was carried out when the shoot growth rate was extremely high and the application was localized in the top part of the growing shoot

La formazione di germogli laterali e' stata ottenuta in vivaio con trattamenti a differente concentrazione e tempi di applicazione, a seconda delle varieta', di Paturyl (benziladenina al 10%). Le varieta' con buona attitudine alla formazione di rami anticipati hanno dato il migliore risultato a seguito di trattamenti a basso dosaggio, ma frequenti; per le altre varieta' sono stati necessari trattamenti singoli, ma ad alta concentrazione. I trattamenti sono stati eseguiti al terzo distale dei rami all'epoca della massima attivita' di crescita
