Mathematical model of surface fatigue life

In this work was presented the proposition of mathematical model of surface fatigue life created on the basis of the investigation of roller bearings NU309. Many factors can have an influence on surface fatigue life. Even if the considerations were limited to factors connected with surface layer the analysis included both roughness as well as physical properties. Moreover the surface fatigue life can be dependent on mean values or variability of these parameters. In this paper for estimation the influence of some surface layer parameters on surface fatigue life applicated were: the correlation analysis, the factor analysis, the rough sets theory and the multiple regression. In the consequence the equation which partly explains the spread of fatigue life was proposed
