A positive influence of crossing on the growth rate and slaughter value of crossbreeds was shown. Compared to Black-and-White cattle they achieved higher daily gains, a higher index of slaughter yield by approx. 3-4 percent and larger area of section of the longest muscle of back by approx. 15-20 percent. The meat of bulls, irrespective of genotype was darker and and les acidified compared to the meat of heifrs and it partially showed features of DFD meat. Slaughter of the heifers of higher body weight worsened the parameter of the slaughter value of carcasses
