Importance of micronutrients in rape fertilization

Boron deficiency leads to decrease of seed yield by 80 percent. It is also important to consider the rape as a Mo-sensitive plant. The effectiveness of molybdenum application for rape has been stated in investigations, on acid soils, with low Mo availability for plants. Stated significant response of rape seed yield to copper fertilization and its considerable uptake with yield, indicate also some sensivity of the crop to Cu deficiences. Copper application is advisable procedure on heavier soils, rich in organic matter, where Cu availability for plants is limited. On the soils showing pH6.5 the supply of manganese is also justified. High Zn nutritional needs of rape are covered by domestic soil resources
