The aim of the work was the exact recognition of the seed and fruit morphology of the native species of the genus Ribes L. and then to distinguish all the seed features, which would allow to differentiate individual currant species. The author wanted also to verify whether the mentioned features confirm the traditional systematic divisions of the genus Ribes, based mainly on flower morphology and building of the vegetative organs
