Appliance of entropy in spatial assessment of farms being equipped with technical production measures

The study shows the method of assessment of farms that are equipped with technical production measures. The method uses the spatial aspect of empirical data, applied to administrative units and provinces. From the whole group of farms there have been chosen a set of individual farms (IF, Polish: IGR). The other set consists of the other types of farm properties (OFP, Polish: PTW). The standard of farms' equipment in both sets is based on different entropy measures that have been done. They related to the structure of administrative units in provinces and to the unanimity in assessment of different property farms in provinces. There have been used the data from the agricultural census coming from 1996 in order to illustrate the method. The empirical material were the four qualities: the number of tractors, cereal, potato and beet harvesters counted according to the plough areas related to the administrative units
