A comparative study has been made of the spectral characteristics of paints used in the production of coloured water traps. Two types of support have been used, and their effects distinguished from those of the paints. Considerable differences were noted in the waveband between 350 and 800 nm. A spectrophotometer equipped with an integrating sphere was used. Possible effects of colour on the alighting of aphids were analyzed : the characteristics of the paints and their ageing, the spectral distribution of reflectance and transmittance at particular wavelengths, and theirs effects on the efficiency of trapping.
Show more [+] Less [-]Une étude comparative des caractéristiques spectrales de peintures et de colorants utilisés dans la fabrication de pièges colorés à eau a été entreprise. Deux types de supports ont été comparés et leur rôle distingué de celui des colorants. Des différences importantes apparaissent entre 350 et 800 nm selon les colorants et les supports étudiés. Le vieillissement des peintures joue un rôle particulièrement net dans ces modifications. On analyse les effets possibles de la couleur sur l’atterrissage des aphides. La répartition spectrale et l’intensité des réflectances à des longueurs d’onde définies doivent jouer un rôle important dans l’efficacité des pièges.
