Growth Curve and Size Index of Alphonse Lavallée Grape Berries Pollinized with Different Pollen Sources

Many studies are available concerning the effects of genetic and environmental factors on double sigmoid growth curve of the grape berry. However, literature investigations revealed that there are insufficient available knowledge regarding the effects of pollinizers on growth stages of grape berry. In the present study, influences of different pollen sources on growth curve and stages of Alphonse Lavallée berries were investigated by measuring berry length and width with 3 to 5 d intervals. The structue of obtained double sigmoid curves in response to different pollinizers were mostly similar, althoug the pollinizers differently affected the durations of berry growth stages. To illustrate, the first berry development stage of self-pollinated with the greatest berry growth, was 1-3 d shorter than those of the berries pollinated by external cultivars. According to the correlation analyses, environment temperature varied from 21.9 to 35.4 °C did not affect double sigmoid berry growth curve. Different pollinizers had not significant effect on berry size index.
