Assesment of Quality Traits of Advanced Stages Bread Wheat Breeding Materials Grown in Rainfed Conditions

This study was conducted to determine quality performances and evaluate as selection criteria of quality traits of bread wheat genotypes in pre-yield, yield and advanced yield trials in rainfed conditions at different locations in the 2010-2015. Some quality traits (thousand grain weight, protein content, Zeleny sedimentation value, rheological traits (mixograph, farinograph) and bread volume) were investigated in this research. Quality analyzes were done of 2218 bread wheat genotypes in rainfed conditions. It has been contributed to be transferred 178 genotypes to advanced levels in terms of quality traits. As a result of studies; mean values of selected lines of pre-yield, yield and advanced yield trials in rainfed conditions between the years 2010-2015; thousand kernel weight 34.14 g, protein content 12.87%, Zeleny sedimentation value 42.24 ml, mixograph development time 3.11 min, farinograph water absorption 60.69% and bread volume 445.50 cm3 were determined as.
