Optimization of the composition of a three-component biofuel mixture | Оптимизация состава трехкомпонентной биотопливной смеси

English. The problem of reducing the dependence of diesel engines on petroleum fuels and improving their performance through the use of alternative renewable fuels is analyzed. It is shown that at this stage of development of domestic alternative energy, using vegetable fuels in internal combustion engines is more rational. A procedure for optimizing the composition of a three-component biofuel mixture based on the results of studying the effect of its use in the D-240 diesel engine is presented. Regression equations for the dependence of the properties of three-component mixtures on their composition are obtained and isolines are constructed in barycentric coordinates of the triangular "composition - property" diagram. It has been established that when the supply of the three-component biofuel mixture is changed, the diesel power changes from 31 to 55 kW. At the same time, significant differences in the compositions of mixtures are noticeable when obtaining the same power range. Changing the ratio of ethanol and water at the inlet and vegetable oil into the combustion chamber changes the content of nitrogen oxides in the diesel exhaust gases in the range from 1.32 to 1.95 mg/l. When ethanol and inlet water and vegetable oil are supplied to the combustion chamber, the content of hydrocarbons in the exhaust gases varies from 0.01 to 0.1 mg/l. An analysis of the isolines plotted together on the simplex shows that at a power above 45 kW, the power and toxic performance of a diesel engine are primarily affected by nitrogen oxides. Increasing the allowable concentration of nitrogen oxides only by 0.07 mg/l significantly increases the area for obtaining power above 45 kW. Carbon black is second in terms of the severity of imposing restrictions on obtaining high powers, and, consequently, on the composition of mixtures. The power range of above 45 kW increases sharply with an increase in the permissible exhaust smoke capacity from 0.21 to 0.27 mg/l.

Russian. Проанализирована проблема снижения зависимости дизельных двигателей от нефтяных топлив и улучшения их показателей за счет использования альтернативных возобновляемых видов топлива. Показано, что на данном этапе развития отечественной альтернативной энергетики более рационально использование в двигателях внутреннего сгорания топлив растительного происхождения. Приведена процедура оптимизации состава трехкомпонентной биотопливной смеси, основанная на результатах исследования влияния ее использования в дизеле Д-240. Получены регрессионные уравнения зависимости свойств трехкомпонентных смесей от их состава и построены изолинии в барицентрических координатах треугольной диаграммы "состав – свойство". Установлено, что при изменении подачи трехкомпонентной биотопливной смеси мощность дизеля меняется от 31 до 55 кВт. При этом заметны существенные отличия в составах смесей при получении одного и того же диапазона мощности. Изменение соотношения этанола и воды на впуске и растительного масла в камеру сгорания меняет содержание окислов азота в отработавших газах дизеля в пределах от 1,32 до 1,95 мг/л. При подаче этанола и воды на впуске и растительного масла в камеру сгорания содержание в отработавших газах углеводородов изменяется от 0,01 до 0,1 мг/л. Анализ совместно нанесенных на симплекс изолиний показывает, что при мощности выше 45 кВт на мощностные и токсические показатели работы дизеля в первую очередь влияют окислы азоты. Повышение допустимой концентрации окислов азота всего на 0,07 мг/л значительно увеличивает область получения мощности выше 45 кВт. Второй по степени жесткости наложения ограничений на получение больших мощностей, а, следовательно, и составу смесей, следует сажа. Область мощностей выше 45 кВт резко увеличивается при возрастании допустимой дымности отработавших газов с 0,21 до 0,27 мг/л.
